Our Name

We’re named after James Lind who pioneered the first clinical trial in the 18th century and discovered that oranges and lemons cured scurvy. Like James, we’re pushing the frontiers of clinical research.

We’re a diverse team combining clinicians, scientists, technologists, and — clinical trial participants, all on a mission to improve the clinical research experience and build a better clinical research organization.

Meri was previously a venture capital investor and partner to biotech and digital health companies. He took part in the COVID-19 vaccine trials as a volunteer, where he saw how trial outcomes could be improved by focusing on patient experience.

Michael was previously a Special Adviser to the UK Prime Minister, where he advised the UK government on life sciences. He is passionate about improving health outcomes and quality of life for people with long term medical conditions.

Emma Ogburn

VP of Clinical Operations

20 years' experience leading phase I-IV trials implementing novel methodologies across a variety of therapeutic areas. Most recent experience includes scaling up and leading the Primary Care & Vaccine Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Oxford and leading two Urgent Public Health COVID-19 platform trials.

Shawn Malloy

VP of Marketing

In the first half of his career Shawn, an engineer by training, worked on drug and device development at some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. He's since spent the latter half of his career in the commercial health-tech space focused on scaling and building solutions for the problems plaguing clinical trials globally.
